Chicago Technology Park Creates New Space for Growth and Expansion
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - September 29, 2003
Five companies have moved into the Enterprise Suites, a new office concept in the Enterprise Center I located at 2225 W. Harrison. The space, which is approximately 2,000 sq. ft. was formerly designated a single tenant space.
"There was a demand for flexible office space within the Chicago Technology Park," said Joseph Dunne, deputy director of the Illinois Medical District. "When the space became available, we took the opportunity to create an area that was both customizable and efficient."
The space can accommodate up to 6 companies at a single time depending on the needs of each company.
Companies currently located in the Enterprise Suites include, LaGray Chemical, a pharmaceutical company who will be the first to operate a fully self-sufficient manufacturing facility in West Africa and Medifacts Systems, which develops specialized database software to archive medical images and multimedia for an array of health care facilities.
Also located in the Enterprise Suites are Molecular Biology Consortium, a biochemistry research company, the Chempetitive Group a marketing communications company and Lambda Vision, which develops high resolution imaging technology for living biological materials.
The Enterprise Suites provide an affordable alternative for companies to get basic business services, collaborate with other life science companies and create a presence for themselves within the Chicago Technology Park.
"It is designed for life science companies who either only require office space or those in the pre-incubator stage," said Dunne.
In addition, it allows them access to a variety of services offered within the Research Center, ITEC Center, and various member institutions of the Illinois Medical District.
