Dining and Entertainment
Chicago’s Near-West Side is a vibrant community, complete with a rich array of dining and entertainment options. Primarily, it includes Chicago’s Little Italy neighborhood. Encompassing 12 blocks on Taylor Street, Little Italy is home to numerous landmark restaurants including 3⁄4 Rosebud's, Pompeii and Francesca's, to name a few. Other Italian-American favorites include Mario's Italian Lemonade, Conti di Savoia – an Italian grocer and deli, and Al's beef, pasta and cannolis at Scafuri's Bakery. Other amusements in Little Italy include a visit to the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame and a stroll in Arrigio (Peanut) Park to see the statue of Columbus. Little Italy is located directly between the Illinois Medical District and the University of Illinois at Chicago campus.
