Located on 56 acres within the Illinois Medical District (IMD), the Chicago Technology Park (CTP) is a dynamic science and business community.
The CTP Research Center was one of the first life sciences incubators and still remains one of the largest. For more than two decades it has been home to life science spinouts from the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, the University of Illinois, and other institutions. Notable graduate companies include Amgen, MediChem Life Sciences, United Therapeutics, and Litholink.
By supplying fully equipped infrastructure and access to university resources, internship programs, and world-class talent, the CTP works to ensure the success of the companies that make up its community.
The CTP is also home to BiTmaP, a tuition-free bioinformatics training program that is sponsored by a $3 million grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. The program bridges the gap between the pool of unemployed or underemployed information technology workers and the fast-growing midwestern science community.
With a total of 600,000 square feet of lab and office space, multiple graduate facilities and land available for development, the CTP is a fertile environment for all stages of a company’s growth
